Peanut Butter Cookies, The Elliptical and Kody Brown

Today while on the elliptical at the gym, because I had a craving for peanut butter cookies for breakfast, I saw an ad for Sister Wives.  It seems daddy to 17 kids by 4 different women, only 1 who is legally his wife, Kody Brown-the daddy-is upset his teenage children are not modelling his exemplary sexual and moral conduct and are being a little touchy feeling with other teens.  No kidding…you cannot make this stuff up!   And it becomes doubly riveting when you have time left on a torturous cardio machine.

Since I have another 20 minutes to go to burn off my breakfast peanut butter cookie, haven’t you read eating your sweets or junk in the morning is best so you have the whole day to burn off the calories, I start contemplating this teenage dilemma Kody is facing. Now I must confess this is not one of the reality shows I watch so I had to do a little searching on the internet to get my facts. Ok so Kody, who is only in his early 40’s, has 3 wives and multiple kids.  So in other words he jumps from bed to bed with no qualms and feels this is a great example for his many children, male and female.  I’m sure all little girls want to have a hubby just like daddy who gets to come around for a night or two each week before moving on to have unprotected sex with his next wifey.  Oh goody, another baby, what a great loving dad.  Why he must get to spend just gobs of time with each of his little love children, hugging them and helping to care for them and teaching them how to ride a bike and all.  But wait he feels the need to find yet another woman because , you know, 3 adult woman and tons and tons of kids just doesn’t seem to be enough.  So he somehow, somewhere meets another whack-a-do, who thinks jumping into the fray with 3 other women will be good.  Oh, did I mention this one is divorced and is bringing 3 kids of her own with her plus she then gets pregnant to studly Kody and they are blessed with another mouth to feed. And to add just the perfect touch of mystery to the show no one is quite sure exactly what Kody does to support his huge family.  Can you imagine the food bill alone.  Frightening stuff.

Thank heavens, my time on the elliptical has come to an end!  Don’t worry though,  I have figured out Kody’s children’s problem.  NOT enough emotional or physical attention from dad.  While I’m sure he is always around, remember we cannot find where he worked or have not yet seen him even leave for work on his show.  When you are juggling your time between 4 women and all the odd jobs required to keep 4 homes and I would imagine 4 or more vehicles going, why it is mind boggling.

Perhaps he needs to spend a little quality time whipping up these tasty cookies with his ever growing brood.  I’d suggest doing it in groups of 4-5 at a time for best results.

It is much easier to focus on others short comings rather than your own, have you noticed.  Having solved another pressing problem of the world today maybe I can afford another tasty cookie.  The cookie will have to wait, I hear an ad for Honey BOO BOO!

Peanut Butter Cookies with Honey Roasted Peanuts and Mini Chocolate Chips

This recipe is great.  I added in about half a cup each of honey roasted peanuts and mini chocolate chips at the end.  You can add in whatever you like or leave them plain.  I also used crunchy peanut butter.
